What is style?
Lays the foundation for the rest of the challenge, starting with a quick bit of theory: the 5 key elements of style.
Each chapter revolves around a style-related question, and follows the same three-step structure:
A mix of theory and thought experiments to get you thinking about style in brand-new ways.
Learn about what you like by observing the world around you.
Close the chapter by drawing from a prompt, and compare with other artists doing the same.

Don't just blindly trust a girl from the internetβ¦
listen to what other artists are saying instead! π
The workbook has changed my perspective of style immensely, and I would recommend it to all artists.
Well written with fun exercises that get you out of the comfort zone while learning to bridge the artistic gap and make art that makes sense to you!
No! It's a challenge, so a mix of short theory, reflections and drawing exercises, with videos to guide you through everything :)
You need a grasp of the basics before starting this challenge.
It's not for total beginners: it's about drawing with more fun and intention, not learning how to draw.
Each chapter has 10β15 minutes of videos + a challenge that takes anywhere from 30 minutes to a few hours, depending on how intense you want to be with it.
Right after the launch, one chapter will unlock each week, then everything is yours forever.
No installs. The community lives inside your It's Drawing Time account, right with the videos and workbook. There's a chat area to meet other artists and bounce ideas, and more "official" threads for each challenge.
No, this isn't a skills course, so there's no constructive criticism. BUT I am active in the community, and I'm happy to answer questions about your style, and help you notice what you already have going on in your pieces.
Strengthen it! The challenge will help you double down on what's working, and throw away what isn't.
As much as I'd love to open a style shop or become a stylesmith, no one can hand you a style (boo!) Instead, structured experiments and reflections will help you see your own preferences more clearly so you can make intentional choices.
Whatever drawing tools you usually work with! iPad, pencil, pens, paint. It doesn't matter!
Note: the challenges will sometimes invite you to try new mediums, so there will be plenty of time to experiment with that new set of markers you bought but haven't tried yet.
I HATE the idea of people buying from me, and realizing the product isn't a good fit for them after spending their money. So buy in launch week while the challenge is on salebuy now while the challenge is on sale, and if it's not for you, I'll refund you within 14 days of purchase. No questions asked (although feedback is always appreciated so I can make my products better and better!)
