Which app/software are the brushes for?

The brushes and digital drawing tools are made for the iPad version of Procreate.

How to download brushes and add-ons?

  1. After your purchase, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the button inviting you to log into your account.
  2. Once logged in, head to your Library and select the product you want to download.
  3. Select Download + Instructions.
  4. Locate the Downloads section on the right side of the page.

  5. Simply click on the file name in blue to start your download!

Note: Depending on the product you purchased and your Internet connection, this might take a while.
Pro tip: I recommend downloading your files directly on your iPad since sending them from your phone or computer might be tricky because of the file size. If you are not currently on your iPad, copy the URL from your browser and paste it into your iPad's browser of choice.

Once your files are on your iPad (they will be located in the Files app), follow the steps outlined in the next section to install and use your new drawing tools 😊

Splotches & Textures:

The color splotches and paper textures are meant to be imported and used as a quick way to add textures to an illustration.

About Illustration From Scratch

Is the course a subscription? How long do I have access to the content?

Once you purchase the course, it's yours forever! No subscription, no renewal, just simple lifetime access 😊

Do I need specific tools to follow along?

Not at all! The course covers general concepts, not tool-specific techniques. I will be creating my own illustration using Procreate on the iPad Pro, but you can follow along using any drawing tools of your choice, such as:

  • Pencil and paper
  • Tablet
  • Computer

That being said, the course includes advice for using both traditional and digital tools in modules like sketching, coloring, and shading.

Does the course include brushes?

Since the content is made for all drawing tools, the course doesn't include brushes.
Update for Procreate users: the brushes I use to create my own illustrations are now available as an add-on at checkout.

Is there a guarantee? What is your refund policy?

Absolutely! If you're not happy with Illustration From Scratch, reach out to me within 14 days of purchase to get a full refund, no questions asked.

Other FAQ's

Is Geneviève available to work on my project?

Unfortunately, Geneviève is not taking on new projects at the moment.

Can I sell an illustration I created following a YouTube tutorial or use it on a product for sale?

I would strongly recommend avoiding selling products with an illustration made by following one of my step-by-step drawing tutorials.
It's a bit of a gray area legally, and it can get quite tricky for the seller; I used to allow it, but I've seen many people get their store (Etsy, redbubble, etc.) taken down because they were using what the sites considered copyrighted work.

Can I add an illustration I created following a YouTube tutorial to my portfolio?

Portfolios are meant to display an illustrator's personal style and abilities. For that reason, you cannot add illustrations based on YouTube videos to your own portfolio.
